This also connects with our quarterly thinking and academic success skill - intellectual risk taking. Students will integrate information from several texts to write or speak about a topic. We will even build our background knowledge by paraphrasing notes from the picture book,
Reaching for the Moon by Buzz Aldrin.

Students can then use information from this text to supplement the information they will gain from reading articles about Buzz Aldrin, the moon landing, as well as science content about the moon!
