Our study shifts from examining narratives to informative text.  Students will identify the characteristics of informative text early in the week.  Next, students will examine several informative texts on the same topic.  This will allow students to synthesize information from multiple sources and examine different points of view.  We will also spend time summarizing the text.  Please note that the informative text does not take the place of literature circle novels.
