Now that the Science MSA is behind us, we will focus on cells. This week students will explore the characteristics and functions of plant and animal cells. Once familiar with both types, students will compare and contrast plant and animal cells. Once we know the functions of the organelles found inside (nucleus, mitochondria, and ribosomes to name a few), we will examine specialized cells. This unit is very exciting because students will be able to examine different types of cells under a microscope!
