This week we will conduct an experiment which is based on Newton's 2nd law.  Students will slide a mass (a sand-filled tub) across the floor by using a rubber band.  To increase the amount of force, the rubber band will be pulled back 3 different distances.  During the experiment, students will review the scientific method.  Students will also learn that it is important to conduct multiple trials and average their data so that the results obtained are reliable.
