There are many different types of energy; however, we will focus on potential and kinetic energy. Potential energy, as the name suggests, has the potential to do work. The energy is stored until it becomes kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is energy in motion. During our experiment this week, students will observe how potential energy becomes kinetic energy. Can potential energy be increased? You will have to check with your scientist in a few days!
