is filled with many human-made and natural geographic features.  Students will examine a collection of photos to determine what they all have in common.  Next students will compare human made characteristics in Maryland to others throughout the United States.  As students examine these features they will determine how and why humans modified the environment, as well as the consequences of these modifications.
