Most students have finished paraphrasing notes on their opinion topics.  This information will be used to help support the opinion that each student is making in his/her writing piece.  This week students will analyze examples of opinion writing and locate the hook, opinion statement, as well as topic sentences for each body paragraph.  Students will need to organize their ideas and make sure that they are using research to support each main point.  Some may even choose to color-code or highlight their notes to make it easier to locate information when drafting.

We hope to finish drafting and start to revise by the end of the week.
