This week our fifth graders will continue to draft and publish their original myths.  Before visiting the media center this week (or next week depending on your class schedule), students will select one of two major movements of change in history to research - the Civil Rights Movement or Women's Rights Movement.  By paraphrasing notes and using a graphic organizer, students will write to inform others about the movement they selected as well as the impact it had on society.  Check out the new links to build background knowledge on this topic.
