is our current focus. Students are currently drafting the body and conclusion paragraphs to their paper about energy sources. After creating an introductory paragraph, students focused one body paragraph on nonrenewable sources of energy. By providing readers with examples and a definition, students could then write about renewable energy sources in their second paragraph. Compare/contrast signal words were introduced, as well as how to include a direct quote. Students learned that it is important to make sure you do not take credit for someone else's writing by citing the source and including quotation marks.
