We will conclude our series of lessons by focusing on plays. Students will work in cooperative groups to identify parts of the plays and how each part contributes to the performance. Plays will be used as we identify theme, summarize the main events, and compare and contrast the characters and setting.
Literature circles will continue to the end of school. We hope we have enough time to finish the last novel of the year!

for informational text, that is! Students will use various texts and multi-media resources to synthesize information on bats. We will also have the chance to identify reasons within the text to support claim(s) made by the author. As always, this is a fantastic chance to practice our summarizing and vocabulary skills.
